For me, this brings to mind a book I recently read: Eckhart Tolle's "The New Earth". This could illustrate the spirit (rock) realizing itself, and breaking the bonds of egoic thought (metal cage).
Given that you're producing images like this, I highly suggest you read the book or listen to the audio version (if you haven't already.) I beleive it would inform and intensify your already clear way of communicating.
Peace!

I believe in God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost, and if you don't like that, F**k off, I don't go around trying to convert people, so leave me in peace.
I think the sculpture's message speaks quite clearly. To me, it shows that the earth won't be overpowered by technology or man. Or, maybe that someone's thoughts or "realizations" is like breaking free from a cage.
Anyway, great work!
